Signs of bad wheel alignment:

  • Uneven wear on your tyres. If one of your front or rear tyres shows a different pattern of wear to the others, it’s time to check your wheel alignment.
  • Pulling to the left or the right. If the wheels are badly aligned, you may notice the vehicle automatically pulling to one side…especially when accelerating or breaking. Wheel alignment can correct this.
  • Passive movement. With a slightly lesser mis-alignment of your wheels, you may see your vehicle slowly drift to one side when you’re driving with one hand on the steering wheel.
  • Vibration. Sometimes, as the wheels pull against each other, you may feel some vibration. Another reason to check your wheel alignment.
  • Crooked steering wheel. If you’re driving straight, but your steering wheel has been turned slightly to the left or right, this could be another sign of bad wheel alignment.

Benefits of wheel alignment:

  • Increased fuel efficiency. If your wheels are not aligned correctly, your wheels aren’t working together the way that they should. As a result, your car or van needs to work harder to moved you forwards, and reduces your vehicle’s fuel efficiency.
  • Reduce Expensive Repairs. Driving with a poor wheel alignment causes the parts in your vehicle to wear unevenly and prematurely. When your tyres aren’t evenly helping with the impact of potholes or bumps (and there are a few in Glasgow), certain areas of these systems take the hit harder than others, causing them to break down sooner than they should. If they break down completely, you could be facing an expensive repair that could have been avoided.
  • Smoother Driving. When your car’s wheel alignment is off you will usually notice that your vehicle drifts slightly to the right or left even though your steering wheel is aimed straight ahead. Constantly correcting your steering to overcompensate for poor wheel alignment is tiring, inefficient and dangerous! The handling of your car after wheel alignment, should also be better wet & icy conditions.
  • Increase the Life of Your Tyres. Car & van tyres can be very expensive. Without regular wheel alignment, you could suffer from uneven wear on your tyres, which means they need to be replaced more often

Our car developed an engine fault just before we were due to go on a European driving holiday. Despite being short of staff and busy with other work, Omar pulled out the stops to repair the car at short notice and save the day. We were very grateful, as always, for their helpfulness and courtesy and wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services
